What does it mean to be healthy and aware?

Living a healthy life also means being aware of what we introduce in our bodies. It’s not just about the food we eat, the water we drink, and air that we breathe, it’s also about the quality of these variables. Do we mostly eat clean, real, organic food, or do we often eat junk, processed food? Do we live in a busy city where we daily inhale carbon monoxide? Or do we live near an agricultural field where we daily inhale Roundup, the pesticide glyphosate that crops are constantly sprayed and poisoned with? Do we drink water from glass or plastic bottles… Or do we drink tap water? I strongly suggest staying away from tap water. Chlorine and fluoride are not good for our body. The truth is that if “Chlorine is a toxic, corrosive, greenish yellow gas that is irritating to the eyes and to the respiratory system”, imagine what it can do to our body internally when repeatedly ingested. Fluoride is a neurotoxin.

‘Fluoridation was initiated and spread throughout the United States in the late 1940s and early 1950s over fierce objection from an informed and vocal segment of the scientific community. Without one safety study, a toxic pollutant was added to our drinking water. Forty years later in the 1990s it was learned that fluoride crosses the placenta which meant it can harm a developing fetus. Still the policy went on unquestioned.”

The cumulative effects of these two substances when ingested on a daily basis shouldn’t be underestimated, especially if that’s on top of our constant doses of Roundup, pesticides, hormones, and preservatives that the Food Industry offers the modern citizen every day.

There is evidence that fluoride and aluminum individually contribute to the development of different disorders. Fluoride causes detrimental effects on proteins expressed in soft tissues including the blood, brain, and liver [] by penetrating the cell membrane []. Fluoride buildup in bone tissues disrupts the hematopoiesis in the bone marrow []. Numerous studies have demonstrated that high concentrations of aluminum are present in the brains of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and senile dementia patients [].”

It’s unacceptable that with all the evidence available, fluoride is still presently added in the US water supply. Who decides for everybody? Clearly somebody is imposing this on Americans without providing factual evidence that the benefits of adding fluoride to our water outweigh the risks.

“The excess of both fluoride and aluminum may cause excitotoxicity through microglial activation and induce neurotoxicity []. The Blood Brain Barrier (BBB)-inhibits passive diffusion-is susceptible to fluoride and aluminum. Aluminum, as well as aluminum fluoride (AlF3), can react with oxygen to form aluminum oxide (Al2O3), which is found in significant amount in the brain specimen of Alzheimer patients []. AlF3 also substantiates osteoporosis, osteomalacia, spontaneous bone fractures, and dementia [].”

…How much more evidence do we need? Shouldn’t the people who govern us and make these decisions for us guarantee that their choices are safe, before they actually implement them into our lives? Even following small precautions actually helps, like for example, not cooking food in aluminum foil, avoiding buying food in aluminum containers and cans, as well as not using aluminum moka expresso coffee pot makers.

According to Philippe Grandjean, adjunct professor of environmental health, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, “We need to make sure fluoridation doesn’t raise the risk of adverse health effects. In particular, we need basic research on animals that would help us understand the mechanisms by which fluoride may be toxic to the developing brain.

It is for our children and next generations that we should choose our battles, strive to have a healthy environment, and make choices that will not jeopardize their lives in the future. Perhaps, as citizens and parents, we could ask our local communities and politicians to eliminate fluoride from our tap water. If enough people complain about this, united by an urge of spreading awareness to help people make healthier choices, maybe we can create a better world.

“Moms Against Fluoridation along with other nonprofit organizations and mothers on behalf of their children, is suing the EPA to end water fluoridation.”

Besides Moms Against Fluoridation, the lawsuit was filed by FAN and individual plaintiffs trying to prove that fluoride is a neurotoxin and therefore it should be removed from our water.

“The lawsuit originally began after the EPA’s 2016 decision to deny the plaintiff’s petition under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).”

If we follow closely what’s being discussed, it seems like we’re in front of an arm wrestling between the EPA representatives and its opponents about the percentages of acceptable levels of fluoride in the water.

When FAN lead attorney Connet asked Dr. Stanley Barone, [a Senior Science Policy Advisor with the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OSCPP) in the EPA,] if he felt comfortable as a risk assessor exposing pregnant women to a level of fluoride that is so high that the kidney is oversaturated, Dr. Barone’s answer was “no”, after a long pause.

EPA’s expert witness, Dr. David Savitz was interrogated, as well.

“During FAN’s cross examination of Savitz, lead attorney Michael Connett attempted to make it clear that Savitz is not and was not an expert in the neurotoxicity of fluoride while he reviewed the NTP report for NASEM. FAN attorney Michael Connett drew attention to a $17 Million grant Savitz received from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, who are vocal advocates for water fluoridation.”

  1. I have been surfing online more than three hours today,
yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth
enough for me. Personally, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the web will be a lot more useful than ever before.
